Jika ada pertanyaan kepada siapa aku berterima kasih atas segala pencapaikanku selama ini, maka jawabanku agak panjang. Tidak seperti kata pengantar atau halaman persembahan pada skripsiku yang cuma dua lembar. Karena banyak sekali hal yang membuat aku jadi seperti sekarang ini.

Disamping Sang Maha Kuasa dan kedua orang tuaku, ada satu orang lain yang sangat berjasa bagiku. Dia adalah orang yang kalian panggil mama.

Meski aku mungkin bukan orang yang tepat baginya dan dia mungkin berhak mendapatkan laki-laki yang lebih baik dari aku, tapi dia tetap menerima aku apa adanya. Bahkan dia membalasnya dengan menemani hari-hariku dan memberikan kalian berdua.

Ini bukan merayu, nak. Ini nyata adanya. Seperti kata pepatah, dibalik kesuksesan laki-laki terdapat wanita yang hebat. Aku yakin ibu kalian adalah orang yang hebat, dan aku harus berusaha untuk menjadi sukses agar pepatah itu benar adanya.

I’ve been thinking about Craig Zobel’s Compliance for a long time since watching it. The 2012 film seemingly incensed the audience at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival, presumably inspiring walkouts and even angry outbursts. Watching the movie, I couldn’t understand such a reaction unless the walkouts and shouters thought that the events were so implausible and so ridiculous as to be insulting.

Gaza’s ruling Hamas will not stop arming itself, the No. 2 in the Palestinian group told The Associated Press on Saturday, signalling tough challenges ahead for indirect negotiations between Israel and the Islamist militants on a new border deal for Gaza.

The talks are being brokered by Egypt, which also helped forge a ceasefire deal that ended eight days of Israel-Gaza fighting earlier this week.

The truce went into effect late Wednesday and has largely held. Residents in Gaza said Israel has begun easing some border restrictions, allowing fishermen to head further out to sea and permitting farmers inspect land in a former no-go zone.
